NEWS FLASH: Lancaster was awarded the Sr Herdsire of the Year at the 2010 MAPACA Jubilee!
Lancaster daughters took the black female championship AND reserve at the Empire show! The same girls returned a week later to take the championship AND reserve the following weekend in VT!
UPDATE: new skin biopsy results from Dr Norm Evans:
20.2 micron ENDURING FINENESS at 7 yrs old! 62 follicles/sq mm 10.7 secondary to primary ratio 3 of 4 gland score
Lancaster took first place in the GET OF SIRE at the very big Ohio AlpacaFest Fall 2007 show over some stiff competition (The Aga Khan, Accoyo Express and more)! Lancaster offspring are consistant and consistanly high quality. He puts his stamp on his offspring for sure.
Not only is Lancaster's fleece consistent but so were his show winnings. He won his 14th blue ribbon at MAPACA '05. And he won the coveted Fawn Male Color Championship at MAPACA '04. Lancaster has been called, by more than one judge: "the total package". Mr. Safley said what's more impressive is that even though Lancaster was over 2 years old and the second oldest out of the sixteen first place males vying for Championship, he was the finest of them all-even the 7 month old standing reserve behind him.
He exhibits all that we desire in a male and so much more. He has a magnetic presence with a charming, inquisitive personality and is an absolute gentleman. His well-balanced, heavily boned frame is entirely covered with dense, carpet-like fleece.
Lancaster is passing on his quality fleece and strong conformation to his get. Lancaster throws color of the dam or a shade or two either way 70% of the time. When he's not letting the dams color through he's producing black out of grey & fawn from darks.
Peruvian Lancaster is proudly co-owned with Flying Pony Alpacas.
Dam:
Peruvian Cherecia

Two words:........ Crystal's Dam...........Enough said.
After seeing the Tuscan Black offpsring and knowing that when Cherecia was bred to Marcoyo (Tuscan Blacks Grandsire), Cherecia produced on of the best brown females of all time. We are hoping the genetics pop one more time!
Cherica is a large boned, very dense and crimpy medium fawn girl. She has consistently produced very nicely fleeced offspring. She has produced color from white to black. Teen microns, teen CVs. and very well defined high frequency crimp with density. Cherecia is the dam of our well known 5x Champion,Peruvian Crystal. Crystal wowed the show judges and everyone else who has been fortunate to see her fleece. Take a look at our Crystal's listing and see why we are so high on Chericia. One offspring out of Chericia like Crystal and BANG!, you just hit the jackpot!
Chericia is 1/2 Sollacota, from her import dam, Alicia!
Crystal's fiber analysis was FD 19.5 SD 3.4 CV 17.4 %>30 0.8 as a one year old. This bloodline has teeny microns and low CV genetics.
Cassy is a Lancaster daughter and a Quolmesa Crystal half sister. Both of these bloodlines are fairly rare and very prepotent. Crystal and Lancaster have over 11 Championships between them.
Cassy's fleece is exhibiting excellent crimp, she is extremely dense and is also very fine.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to get Cassie re-bred after her first cria. We have decided to move her as a fiber/companion animal.
